Available in: Axsy Mobile for Salesforce, Axsy Field Service, Axsy Public Sector, Axsy Retail Execution
It is possible to configure a top-level dashboard that is accessible from the main menu of the Axsy Mobile App. This dashboard is similar to Visit, Service Appointment or Event dashboards but is meant to be global and therefore not necessarily tied to any specific record. Like all Axsy Dashboards, the global dashboard is primarily driven by Salesforce Flow, and therefore works fully offline.
Adding the Global Dashboard to the App Main Menu
To enable use of the global dashboard, it needs to be configured with the Axsy Config Tool to be included in the Axsy Mobile App's main menu.
Please see this article for more information on configuring the app's main menu: Main Menu Settings
Configuring the Content of the Global Dashboard
All Axsy Dashboards are deployed and configured as an Axsy Plugin. If the Dashboard Plugin has been installed in your Salesforce Org, it will be configurable by navigating to the Plugins tab of the Axsy Config Tool and selecting its name from the left-side menu.
Global Dashboard Label
To configure the label for the global dashboard, i.e. the label that is used for the dashboard in the Axsy Mobile App's main menu:
- Navigate to the Dashboard Plugin
- Select the General tab.
- Set the label using the Global dashboard action label parameter.
Global Dashboard Widgets
Configuring the content of the global dashboard involves defining and configuring the widgets that are to be included in the dashboard as well as any underlying Flows that power those widgets. The widgets supported by the global dashboard are the same as the widgets supported by Visit, Service Appointment and Event dashboards. As such, configuration of the widgets is the same other than making sure that the Dashboard parameter for the widget has Global Dashboard selected from the drop-down list.
Please see the following articles for more information on configuring dashboard widgets: Dashboards
NOTE: Since the global dashboard is not launched from any specific record, any underlying Flows that are run will NOT have a value set for the Id Flow variable.
