Adding Objects to the Main Menu


To add additional objects onto the Axsy Mobile app main menu, the Object Record Lists plugin must be installed in your Salesforce Org.


Object Record List Version Compatibility:

Axsy Summer '23 version 1.2.14
Axsy Summer '24 version 1.2.31 (or later)


Object Record Lists Plugin Installation

  1. Launch the Axsy Mobile app from the App Launcher on Salesforce
  2. Select the Settings tab for the app to bring up the Axsy Config Tool
  3. In the Config Tool, select the Plugins tab
  4. Click New Version and Edit if you have not done so already
  5. If the Object Record Lists plugin is not listed in the left pane, click on the + Add Plugin to Org button where it will be available to install
  6. Install and enable the plugin.


Plugin Availability

If the plugin version you require is not listed in your available options, contact Axsy via your support portal and request the plugin version you require.


Object Record List Plugin Configuration

  1. Select the Object Record Lists plugin
  2. Select the Components tab to view the list of configured components
  3. Select the New button to add a new component
  4. Provide a Title that represents the label for the component within the mobile app
  5. From the drop-down list, select the appropriate Object Name for the component

    Subject Record Set Warning

If you see a warning message "This Subject does not have a sync record set, limiting the records which will be available offline", you should add a Record Set to ensure records available in the mobile app.


  6. Provide a Display Order value for the component
  7. Select a Pull to Refresh Mode




Enabling Map View

To enable the Map View for a configured component, the following two configuration values must be set:

  1. Show Map - this must be checked
  2. Relationship to Location - describes the relationship of the object to either a Geolocation field, a Location record, or a Polygon record. Uses dot notation and the API names for the fields - standard or custom - with support for a maximum depth of 3.


In the example screenshot below, the Account object has Map View enabled via the custom field of the Account object with API name Location__c and corresponding relationship name Location__r. 



Do not forget to publish your new config after making your changes.


NOTE: The Polygon object is only supported in Public Sector orgs.
